Georges Michel was the only deceased artist when Paul Durand-Ruel defended and promoted his works. All the other artists were alive when the dealer decided to exhibit and promote their pictures. Convinced by Georges Michel's talent, Durand-Ruel purchased few hundreds of his pictures and drawings.
