Gustave Fayet, collector and creator

Gustave Fayet (1865-1925), a Languedoc wine producer, artist and collector, supported Gauguin, Redon and Van Gogh. His collecting activities intersected with those of Paul Durand-Ruel, the dealer and champion of the Impressionists.

For the exhibition Gustave Fayet, Collector - Creator. Icons of Modern Art, Paul-Louis Durand-Ruel and Flavie Durand-Ruel Mouraux contribute a catalogue essay on transactions between Fayet and the Durand-Ruel gallery.
