Monet and London. Views of the Thames

The Courtauld Gallery, London. 27 September 2024 to 19 January 2025.

The exhibition brings together a selection of Monet’s London views, taking as its starting point the exhibition organised at the Durand-Ruel gallery in Paris in 1904.

Paul-Louis Durand-Ruel and Flavie Durand-Ruel Mouraux identified the thirty-seven paintings shown in 1904, including views of the Houses of Parliament, Waterloo Bridge and Charing Cross Bridge. Their research cross-referenced archival documents with photographs taken by Druet at the time.
